Work in the 21st century can be thought of as a phase space of mutually orthogonal directions represented by talking/listening (meetings, briefings, conferences etc.), reading/writing (reports, proceedings, bulletins etc.)and interactive input/outputs (e-mails, mobile links, presentations etc.). Networking via web logs is the latest innovation in information & knowledge transfer. The boundary conditions on such activitvies can be loosely described by an Heisenberg Uncertainty and a Devil’s staircase1 of decreasing opportunity in an ever-increasing environment of competition, where “responding to change” is the key objective:
